John Lewis
CEO | Founder
The Visionary Behind the Next Frontier of Entertainment
John Lewis is a name that resonates with innovation, inspiration, and audacity. From his early days as a celebrated mixed martial artist who faced down legends to his current role as a space visionary pushing the boundaries of human experience, John has always been about one thing: redefining what’s possible. His journey is one of transformation—from a fighter in the cage to a leader on the cutting edge of entertainment, aerospace, and global brand-building.
Founder and CEO of NovaCorp Aerospace
Today, John Lewis stands at the helm of NovaCorp Aerospace, a company that is rewriting the script on how humanity engages with the cosmos. As the founder and CEO, John is leading a bold mission to merge sports, entertainment, and film in space, transforming it from a distant dream to a tangible reality. At NovaCorp, John’s vision is clear: space is not just a destination for exploration but a new platform for storytelling, innovation, and human connection.
One of the most ambitious projects under John's leadership is the Genesis X Mission, a groundbreaking endeavor to bring the worlds of sports, entertainment, and hospitality into orbit. This mission, in partnership with the most respected aerospace companies in the business, is set to revolutionize how we perceive and interact with space. Genesis X is more than just a venture; it's a comprehensive initiative that involves the development of NovaStar, NovaCorp's own space station. NovaStar will serve as a multifunctional space hub—a film studio, entertainment venue, and business accommodations center—all designed to provide unique experiences that capture the imagination of audiences on Earth and beyond.
Through strategic partnerships with major aerospace companies and government agencies, NovaCorp Aerospace is making strides in creating a sustainable space ecosystem. John's visionary approach, coupled with his ability to forge strong alliances and lead diverse teams, has positioned NovaCorp at the forefront of this next great leap for humankind.
Creating Hollywood Magic with JLE Cinema Group
But John’s journey into the cosmos is only part of his story. He is also the driving force behind JLE Cinema Group, a high-end, multifaceted entertainment powerhouse with a global reach. At JLE Cinema Group, John has seamlessly blended his deep understanding of talent, storytelling, and branding to create a company that delivers blockbuster films, controls a library of some of the sports and entertainment world’s top intellectual properties (IPs), empowers artists, and drives powerful brand campaigns across the globe.
With offices in Beverly Hills, Riyadh, and Tokyo, JLE Cinema Group serves as a bridge between cultures, industries, and audiences. John’s expertise in anticipating market trends, nurturing talent, and executing complex productions has made JLE Cinema Group a top player in the global entertainment arena. His approach is both visionary and hands-on, ensuring every project—from high-budget cinematic productions to exclusive celebrity-driven events—is crafted with excellence and an innovative edge.
A Champion Who Broke the Mold
Before becoming a titan in entertainment and aerospace, John Lewis was a force to be reckoned with in the world of mixed martial arts. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, John grew up surrounded by the spirit of competition and the drive to excel. Currently a 7th Degree Corel Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he became the third American black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu worldwide and trained under legendary figures like Gene LeBell and André Pederneiras. His name became synonymous with courage, discipline, and an unyielding desire to be the best.
John wasn’t just a champion; he was a pioneer who helped shape the very fabric of modern MMA. As a fighter and instructor, he trained some of the sport’s most iconic athletes, including Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz, Randy Couture, and BJ Penn. His Las Vegas school, Academy Jsect, became the proving ground for future champions and a hub for MMA culture in the United States. And it was John who introduced Dana White and the Fertitta brothers to the world of MMA, setting the stage for the explosive growth of the UFC. This pivotal moment changed the trajectory of the sport and made MMA a global phenomenon.
Innovating at the Crossroads of Entertainment and Sports
John’s innate ability to see the future potential of industries led him to revolutionize entertainment in ways few could have imagined. When he founded the World Fighting Alliance (WFA), John envisioned a spectacle where "Fight Club Meets the Nightclub." With laser lights, live DJs, and electrifying fight cards, the WFA redefined what it meant to experience a live sporting event. This innovative approach caught the eye of Zuffa, LLC, leading to the acquisition of the WFA by the UFC and setting a new standard for how sports are presented to the world.
Transitioning from the ring to the red carpet, John continued to break new ground in the world of nightlife and hospitality. As the creative force behind some of Las Vegas’ most iconic venues, he pioneered the concept of celebrity-hosted nightlife events and in-venue concerts, which have since become the industry standard. His work in entertainment marketing, particularly through John Lewis Entertainment Group, showcased his talent for creating unforgettable experiences that connect brands with audiences on a profound level.
A Producer Who Captures the Imagination
In film and television, John’s impact has been equally profound. His tenure as a producer with companies like The Wonderfilm Media Corporation and Iervolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment saw him manage multimillion-dollar budgets and deliver projects that have earned critical acclaim and prestigious awards. He is a master at bringing together top-tier talent and navigating the complex world of film finance and distribution, ensuring that each production not only meets but exceeds expectations.
John’s storytelling doesn’t just stop at the screen. He is also an accomplished author of science fiction novels, blending his passion for narrative with his fascination for the unknown. His works, “The Tower” and “Binary,” explore the boundaries of human potential and the mysteries of the cosmos, much like his ventures in aerospace and entertainment.
